Antecedents

Ing. Conrado E. Bauer

Ing. Civil Conrado E. Bauer is member (“Miembro de Número”) of the Argentine National Engineering Academy. He is former Dean of the School of Engineering at National University of La Plata (1964-66); Public Works & Services Minister for Argentina (1982-83), President of World Federation of Engineer Organizations (FMOI, based in UNESCO, París, 1995-99) and President of Argentine Organization of Engineer Associations (UADI, based in Buenos Aires, 2000-2002). In his private professional activity worked as planner, director and constructor of civil works, and consultant (Ecotec Consultores S.A.C. and Conintec S.R.L.).

Ing. Pablo J. Bereciartua

Ing. Pablo Bereciartua graduated as Civil Engineer, Hydraulics and Transportation from National University of La Plata (Argentina) in 1993, 1994 and 1995, M.Sc. IHE Delft in 1996 and M.Sc. University of California Berkeley in 1998. Works as consultant and professor at the University of Buenos Aires (UBA). He was awarded several honors and fellowships (Eisenhower Fellow, Fulbright Scholar, Packard Fellow, NFP Nuffic, CICPBA, INA) the most recent being the Eisenhower Fellowship 2003 for Argentina, which included an extended staying in USA to develop the topic “Technology, Strategic Planning and Economic Growth”.

Lic. Horacio Costa

Lic. Horacio Eduardo Costa graduated as Economist from the Argentine Catholic University (UCA). Later graduated from the Program of High Management of Austral University and pursued graduate studies in the macroeconomic field at University Torcuato Di Tella. He is former associate of Econometrics SA and General Manager Santander Bank- Argentina. At the present he is founder partner and Executive Director Dagnino Pastore & Associates (DPA) consulting firm.

Ing. Gastón Cossettini

Ing. Civil Gastón Cossettini is specialized in Transport and Regional and Urban Planning. As an independent consultant worked for the Latin-American Train Association (ALAF), the Interamerican Development Bank (BID), the United Nations, international consulting firms (Louis Berger Int.), public institutions and private companies. He is former General Manager of CONARSUD (company specialized in transportation, 1974-80), National Transport Secretary and President of Argentina Trains (1982-83) and Manager of FERROCAMARA of Train Transport Chamber (1997-2001).

Ing. Máximo Fioravanti

Ing. Máximo Fioravanti is since 1991 Professor of Stability at the School of Engineering at the University of Buenos Aires (UBA) and since 2002 President of the Excel Consult S.A., engineering consulting firm 2002. He is former National Secretary of Public Works (1999-2001), President of the Board of Directors of ATEC Consulting Engineers (1993-1999) and the Argentine Chamber of Consultants (1994-1999). He was awarded the First Prize for National Scientific and Literature Production in the area of Technology & Production 1968-1973, together with Ing. Arturo J. Bignoli.

Dr. Mario A.S. Mariscotti

Dr. Mario Mariscotti graduated as Doctor in Physics from University of Buenos Aires in 1967. He worked as a researcher-professor in Europe and in the United States of America, has 70 publications in scientific journals, and more of 30 papers. He is former Research and Development Director of the National Commission of Atomic Energy (CNEA) (1984-88); Executive Director of the National Quality Award Foundation (1992-96); President of the Scientific and Technology Promotion National Agency (1997-99); and received national and international awards. He is currently “Miembro de Número” of the Natural Sciences National Academy since 1986, being its former President (1994-98); director-founder of H. A. Tomography S.A. since 1992 and Professor of Nuclear Physics, at Natural Sciences School, University of Buenos Aires since 1971.
